Imereti Wild Spring
Imereti Wild Spring
This is our youngest Georgian mountain tea, crafted in a small manufactory in Imereti, 700m above sea level. In early spring 2024, these leaves (bud and one leaf) were hand-picked from tall tea bushes growing wild in the forests around the tea-maker's secluded, countryside home.
The tea offers a light and brisk, yet dense, body with wild herbs, spring meadow flowers and fresh mineral notes. The liquor is fresh, crisp, but still warming with a subtle white almond taste in later brewings. It has a deep sweetness and very pleasant mouthfeel with a subtle yellow colour that turns golden with later pourings.
This white tea works well for both single and multiple brewing, and we recently enjoyed it as a very refreshing cold brew as well.
Flavour profile: wild herbs, meadow flowers, almond, fresh, sweet, warming, uplifting
