Wazuka Hōjicha Powder
Hōjicha powder is a ground, roasted green tea. Prepared similarly to matcha tea and normally enjoyed with milk, it produces a cosy, toasty drink that is naturally low in caffeine and very comforting.
This hōjicha is grown without the use of pesticides at a 5th generation tea garden in Wazuka Towan, Uji, Japan. The quality of tea from Wazuka is attributed to the refreshing cool air and significant temperature difference between day and night. The river Wazuka flows through the centre of the town, which is surrounded by rich, misty forests. This mist gently envelops the tea leaves, and aids in blocking light, enhancing the flavour of the tea.

brewing method
Sieve 1-2 teaspoons of the powdered tea into your bowl. Add about 100ml of 80°c water. Gently mix with a bamboo whisk (soak your whisk in warm water before use to prevent breaking) and then start whisking until foamy. Add (foamed, warm) milk of your choice and enjoy. Also great when iced.
