The first smell of this tea will make you smile – it has a sweet peachy aroma, which comes from the little orange osmanthus flowers it is blended with. The brew has a full body and is thick, with strong minerality and is, of course, accompanied by notes of blooming flowers. It can be brewed many times and evolves nicely throughout.

This is a black tea, which is made from leaves that grow on spindly trees up to 3 meters tall on the Eastern side of the Wuyi Mountains. They are unpruned, which allows them to develop quite a deep root structure reaching into the deeper clays beneath the top soil. This anaerobic environment in which the roots find themselves requires them to exert a little extra energy to extract water and nutrients and is the source of the mineral note in these wild teas. The leaves are then blended with Gui Hua – osmanthus blossoms – from the mountainous area of Fujian.

A truly special tea – make sure to also try it as a cold brew!
