vanilla - sweet - grounding

Rich in sweet vanilla notes, this South African tea makes the perfect companion for a cosy evening or refreshing iced drinks.

Rooibos (Aspalathus linearis) is native to the Cederberg Mountains in South Africa’s Western Cape, where the shrub’s needle-like leaves have been brewed for centuries by the region’s indigenous peoples. Today, rooibos is enjoyed worldwide as a popular herbal tea, known for its deep red colour and smooth flavour with natural sweetness and subtle nutty undertones.

It grows only in the southwestern Cape, adapted to the region’s climate and sandy, acidic soils. The name “rooibos” (red bush) comes from the reddish leaves, which are fermented in the open air during the hot summer months, usually in January and February.

Naturally caffeine-free and low in tannins, rooibos is rich in antioxidants and valued as a healthful alternative to coffee and traditional tea.

This rooibos is organically cultivated in the Cederberg Mountains. Its taste is earthy, warm and invigorating.
