2018 Mengku Big Snow Mountain Sheng
2018 Mengku Big Snow Mountain Sheng
This 2018 sheng pu'er is from wild-growing tea trees in the Big Snow Mountain area of Mengku in Yunnan, which has peaks reaching 3233m. In such an environment, particularly good tea can grow - the cool climate allowing the tea to slowly develop particularly full and round flavours and aromas. The leaves of this tea are very large and the tea has a very distinguished aroma which lingers on the palate.
This brewed tea reminds us of the incense ash in a Buddhist temple. It is rounded and complex in flavour, with notes of smokey peat, damp forest, tobacco, sweet woodiness, and the lingering aroma of incense. It gives a very agreeable grounded and focussed energy.
Flavour notes: complex, focussed energy, peat, wet forest, incense, sweet wood
