Junkiri Black Tea from the Himalayas in Nepal is lively, bright, and full of joy. Grown at the foothills of majestic Mt. Kanchenjunga, just across the border from Darjeeling, this first flush black tea captures the freshness and vitality of its high-altitude terroir. In Nepali, Junkiri जुनकिरी means firefly - a fitting name for a tea that brings light, movement, and a playful spirit to your cup.

Hand-picked by small-scale, pesticide-free farms at around 2,000 meters and crafted at the Kalapani tea factory under the guidance of female tea master Apsara Neupane, this tea delivers sweet chocolate notes, malty depth, and hints of vanilla, balanced with vivid fruity and floral aromas. It’s perfect for a bright morning, a gentle afternoon lift, or a cheerful tea ritual at any time of day.

This tea works beautifully in larger teapots for multiple infusions, or in gong fu style - use more leaves, start with short infusions, and enjoy the evolving flavors over several steeps.
