Vanilla - Almond - Incense

A delicate, modern Shu Pu’er cake from Yunnan, China, elegantly balanced with warm, refined aromas.

This small 150 g shu puerh cake was produced in 2012 by Long Sheng Factory in the Pu’er region. The tea is exceptionally subtle and clear, with an aroma that opens with soft notes of almonds, pistachio, incense, and vanilla, supported by gentle woody and mineral undertones. The liquor is fluid, bright, and never heavy, offering a contemporary profile that is complex, pure, and harmonious.

We are proud to offer this tea in collaboration with Olivier Schneider, a French tea expert with over 20 years of experience studying Pu’er taste, processing, and culture. Having lived in Yunnan for many years, he now cultivates a centuries-old tea garden in northern Thailand, where he continues to explore and experiment with teas, sharing his expertise through teaching and writing. His work is always guided by deep respect for traditional methods, culture, and terroir.

Brewing
For best results, use a gaiwan or small teapot. Break off around 6 g per 150 ml water, optionally rinse first, then brew with near-boiling water (95 °C). Steep 10–20 seconds for the first infusion, then gradually increase the steeping time for subsequent infusions.
