Long Jing, also called Dragon Well, is one of the most famous and sought after traditional Chinese green teas. We are happy to offer you a taste of this tea in form of this genuine representation of authentic Long Jing, which we find carries notes of umami, purple flowers, nuttiness and a lingering sweetness.
Tea Master Hailiang Zhang leads a group of passionate tea makers and enthusiasts who specialise in exclusive productions of Long Jing from its traditional origin region. Our tea comes from the Qiantang region and grows in tidy rows just across the river from the core West Lake production region. It is picked and then processed on wood-fired woks under Master Zhang’s watch.
The meticulous control of temperature and timing by the tea master results in a unique flavour profile, setting wood-fired Long Jing apart from teas produced with modern methods. This technique not only preserves the authenticity of this celebrated tea but also underscores the deep cultural connection between craftsmanship and nature in Chinese tea production.
