Green tea is made from fresh, bright leaves which are not allowed to oxidise at all – the teas might be steamed, pan-fried, shaded, roasted or ground and are enjoyed around the world as a pick-me-up, slow-me-down and delicious beverage. + Sencha Okuhikari: This bold sencha was grown at the Kinezuka family's natural tea garden in the forest-surrounded Fujieda in South Shizuoka.
+ Gyokuro Gokō: Gyokuro, the highest grade of steamed Japanese green teas, is shaded for 4 weeks before harvesting. This encourages the tea leaves to retain their amino acids, giving the tea its characteristic umami flavour.
+ Kukicha Midori: Kukicha is a japanese green tea made from the stems left-over from sencha production. This kukicha uses only high grade stems and a lot of leaf, resulting in a tea which, although naturally lower in caffeine, retains all of the beloved qualities of a Japanese green.
