Yuzu Koucha

This naturally fragranced Japanese black tea feels both cozy and uplifting – definitely something to try if you are looking for an Earl Grey alternative. The unorthodox mix of natural Yuzu peel (a Japanese citrus fruit) together with the grounding and mellow Japanese black tea leaves make for a tea which is unusual but unpretentious. Toshihiro Kajihara is a 4th generation tea farmer and he produces his teas in a misty landscape in the district of Tsuge, southern Kumamoto prefecture at around 300m altitude.
