This fantastic green tea from Vietnam is markedly different to its sister teas in Japan or China. One bud and one leaf are picked from wild-growing, traditional Thái Nguyên tea trees in Tân Cương and are then processed into this fast-brewing, savoury and aromatic green tea. The tea has a sweet, grassy, cốm (pan fried young sticky rice) flavour with a deep, floral aftertaste. The tea’s small, curled leaves form a fish hook shape which gives this tea its name – a very special version of a green tea that is so popular in Vietnam.
