Kalapani Saino Mist

Kalapani is a recently established tea garden in eastern Nepal at the feet of Mt. Kanchenjunga, the worlds third highest mountain. It is a project of a former tea maker from a larger organic tea garden; he took over a few small gardens and started making new teas with a very distinct character, playing with stereotypes of tea categories and harvests. This autumn flush is highly reminiscent of a first flush Himalayan high altitude tea. It has beautiful whole leaves and silvery tips. The infusion is golden-yellow in colour and the aroma is juicy, slightly herbal, cosy and reminds us of white flowers. It feels warm and sunny. The taste is round, fresh and playful with a sweet, enduring aftertaste. A very uplifting tea, also wonderful as a cold brew.

Flavour profile: round, playful, floral, fresh, juicy, white flowers
