Kabusecha Saemidori Makizono

Kabusecha is a steamed, Japanese green tea which is shaded for 10 days before harvesting to increase the amino acid content of the tea leaves, which in turn creates a delicate, umami flavour. This tea is from the mountainous region of Kagoshima prefecture where the highly esteemed tea gardens are tended without the addition of pesticides or chemical fertilisers. A pleasant, elegant shade tea from the mountainous region of Kagoshima Prefecture. Shaded for 10 days. An elegant tea which sits comfortably between fresh, grassy senchas and the intensive umami of gyokuros.
