Bihakkocha Takachiho

This tea grows in the beautiful mountain gardens of Kyusu Island in Japan, overlooked by the active Aso volcano. The tea here is produced in small batches and has been grown without the use of chemicals or artificial fertlisers for over 40 years now. The oolong processing style is a relatively recent addition in Japan which is, of course, famous for its green teas. Despite this, Japan produces many fantastic oolongs with this being a wonderful example. This bihakkocha was made from with a small-spread large-leaf cultivar iand was only slightly oxidized and loosely rolled. You will be surprised by its charming, distinctly floral aroma and balanced, light, full, long-lasting sweet taste.
