This matcha is made especially for matcha latte drinking.
Leaves from naturally farmed tea fields in Shizuoka, Japan have been carefully blended by Susumu, who has just recently started out on his journey as a fully self-employed tea farmer. He created this matcha with a bold, earthy character and a touch of astringency - nicely balanced by a fresh, juicy vibrancy that tastes like the essence of spring. You will also find a lovely vegetal hint of sweet edamame.
The leaves are shaded 20-30days before harvest and the tencha is then traditionally stone-milled just shortly before shipping to us, to guarantee highest possible freshness at the time it arrives at your home.
Since this is a blend made with May and September harvests, it comes with a very attractive price for value. You will find the sweetness of young spring leaves, rich in amino acids, combined with the robust flavor of summer leaves high in catechins. This blend also shines in desserts, where its flavor remains vivid.

Matcha latte preparation:
sift 2g (1tsp) of matcha into a bowl. Add 40ml water at 80C and whisk to dissolve. Add to 100-200ml of milk of choice and sweeten if desired.
